12/23/2023 0 Comments How to get navigation on myford touch![]() ![]() ![]() It really comes down to how many factory Nav sales would be lost (which is really unknown but could be high) versus the number of additional sales generated by having it optional. If it's a $795 option that can be added any time then more people will opt out of buying it up front and may never buy it. The marketing reason is you want to sell more factory nav units up front. I understand it might look better and integrates more seamlessly in the car, but the standalone GPS units are typically less expensive and work better, in my experience.īut you get a 4" screen instead of a 8" screen plus some other integrated features. If consumers are on the fence about adding navigation after receiving their automobile, why not make it as easy as possible while still making some money - which makes me question paying $795 plus future map updates in the first place. I hope Ford is going to offer the ability to add navigation in the very near future, and I can't see any good reason to charge more for it post-production than when you order it from the factory.
